An estimated 500-600 attendees flocked to Seymour’s Kings Park for the Working Sheepdog Trials.
From March 28 to 30, it was sheepdogs galore in Seymour, with the total runs of dogs being 115.
John Tuddenham’s Roseono Kim took out the top spot in the Improvers Trial Final on March 30.
In the Novice Final on March 30, Marion Whalan and pup Riverbourne Muddy came first, while Rod Manning’s Prince won the Encourage Farmers Trial Finals, which went from March 28 to 30.
Seymour Working Sheepdogs Club secretary Colin Davidson said the event was a success thanks to the help of its sponsors.
“Thanks to our sponsors, the Seymour Agriculture and Pastoral Society, Infospring, A Little Birdie Told Me, Elders, Seymour Veterinary Surgery, Hypro dog foods, and thanks to the Kings Park committee of management,” Mr Davidson said.
“Thanks also to David and Max Lawrence for providing the sheep.
“It was a good event, and it’s enjoyed by a lot of people.”
The next event in Kings Park for agriculture-enthusiasts is coming up shortly on April 4.
The Seymour Expo will have working dog demonstrations for those who missed the trials.
