Riverlinks is presenting A Migrant’s Son, a cabaret performance that pays homage to the heart, resilience and vibrant spirit of migrants.

The production promises an evening full of laughter and emotion.

Inspired by her Greek migrant family’s journey, acclaimed performer Michaela Burger brings to life the remarkable story of her larrikin father, Luke, who defied all odds and embraced the Australian dream.

The show immerses the audience in the story of a migrant’s experience, from the early struggles to the eventual happiness.

“As one of the largest regional migrant populations in Victoria, the show serves as a reminder of the incredible contributions and shared experiences of migrants in our region,” Riverlinks acting manager Hannah Shelton said.

“By sharing the story of her father, Michaela Burger celebrates the strength and determination of our diverse community.”

The performance captures the essence of a hundred-year journey from Russia to the Australian outback through original music composed and performed by Ms Burger, alongside the enchanting melodies of a live band and bouzouki player.

Tickets to the performance are available in person, online or through the Riverlinks box office on 5832 9511.
