Two vehicles were among the items allegedly stolen from two homes, one in Mooroopna and one in Kialla, on the same night.

Shepparton Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Shortis said a vehicle was stolen from each home — a Mercedes-Benz vehicle from the Kialla address and a Ford Ranger from the Mooroopna address — during the night of Thursday, February 8.

He said both homes were occupied at the time, and the victims woke up the next day and realised their keys and vehicles were gone.

Police have now located both vehicles and found allegedly stolen property from one home in the vehicle of the other, leading them to believe the two alleged aggravated burglaries are related.

Sen Sgt Shortis said an investigation was under way.

Anyone who witnessed either incident or has information is urged to phone Shepparton Criminal Investigation Unit on 5820 5777 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
