The long-awaited Yarrawonga Aldi supermarket officially opens its doors today, Wednesday, December 18 ready for Christmas with Good Different offerings available to locals from 8.30am.
The new store will provide the Yarrawonga community with high-quality products at unbelievably low prices and has created 20 new full and part time jobs in the local area.
Customers will also have convenient access to more than 108 car parking spaces.
ALDI Australia Regional Managing Director David Zalunardo said that that Aldi is delighted to be making Yarrawonga a new home for Australia’s lowest priced groceries.
“We will offer Yarrawonga residents a supermarket experience like no other and are proud to call ourselves ‘Good Different’,” Mr Zalunardo said.
“Our curated range of exclusive brands, streamlined operations, and our coin deposit trolleys are just some of the small differences that allow us to cut out unnecessary costs and pass these savings onto customers.
“Our Price Promise remains the same from the day we opened our first store over 23 years ago – we won’t be beaten on the cost of your weekly shop.
“We look forward to welcoming the residents of Yarrawonga to the store so they can discover the savings that can be made for themselves.”
Yarrawonga residents can experience ALDI’s famous Special Buys aisle with new products going on sale every Wednesday and Saturday.
For new shoppers to ALDI in the Yarrawonga area, ALDI’s shopping expert Kylie Warnke said customers who haven’t shopped with Aldi before, should grab a trolley token and head in-store to check out the quality offering.
“We are confident that it’s not only the prices that will delight customers in the Yarrawonga area but also the amazing quality of our exclusive brands, which are consistently award-winning,” Ms Warnke said.
Roadworks that were being conducted by Regional Roads Victoria are all but finished with new turning lanes off and onto Franc Drive.
Retail Assistant positions at the new store are still open on the job employment site ‘Seek’ and Aldi careers.
With Aldi now opened, tenders are out for the construction of the Coles supermarket.
A Coles spokesperson said “on background, we are still working through the relevant council approvals.”
