Brick by Brick Benalla has increased its capacity to assist NDIS participants with the addition of new social worker Alice Meravi.

The disability services and support organisation already works with a number of local people of all ages in a range of areas, including one-on-one support services for autism and mental health.

Karina Walker, owner of Brick by Brick, was excited to offer more locally based qualified allied health services.

“We have always believed in quality people building quality relationships and Alice fits that perfectly,” Ms Walker said.

“We are so thrilled to have Alice join our 25-strong team and we will keep building so everyone has a chance to achieve their goals."

Ms Meravi said Brick by Brick had a whole range of programs with a focus on creating a safe place for people to come and hang out.

“We love the things that our participants love; our services are bespoke with an emphasis on having fun,” Ms Meravi said.

“Brick by Brick offers a really wide range of services to NDIS participants ranging from one-on-one support work to in-home services, skills classes, counselling and social groups.

"Now that I’ve come on board we’re able to offer the services of a social worker, including functional capacity assessments.

"Those are an in-depth look at how a person is interacting with the world around them and where their needs might be.“

Ms Meravi said she was already working with a range of clients.

"NDIS participants can be anywhere from birth to 65 years old so we have a lot of clients with a very diverse range of needs,“ she said.

"Brick by Brick has always had an incredible suite of support services.

“Bringing my qualifications in has allowed them to offer an additional tier of services to their existing clients as well as any new clients that come in from the community.

“We have a wide range of clients with a broad range of psychosocial and physical disability needs.

“And our support workers are incredibly experienced in working with clients regardless of their disability.”

Ms Meravi said her diary had been filling up quickly, but she did have capacity for some new clients.

"I am booking up incredibly fast so there will be a waitlist shortly, but we are looking at continuing to create more availability for services in Benalla,“ she said.
