It was all fun and games at the Cobram Sports Centre with the Cobram Skillzone Easter Holiday Program in full swing.
About 150 participants ranging from ages five to 14 participated daily in the multisport and activity Skillzone program which is also based in Shepparton and Yarrawonga.
Participants engaged in a range of activities including dodgeball, capture the flag, musical chairs, soccer, basketball, hockey, handball and T-ball.
Skillzone sports director Adam Gatcum said the program had participants from as far afield as Melbourne take part and that the program was a great opportunity for kids to get active and socialise.
“They get to meet lots of new people from different schools around the area. And it also just supports families and parents that are working during the holidays,” he said.
Participants are grouped with others of a similar age to ensure the best opportunity to socialise and play under the care and guidance of experienced staff members who also have fun.
The Skillzone programs have been operating for about a decade and Mr Gatcum said the program often had repeat participants and that some of the staff who run the session were themselves participants.
“It's a well-established program now,” he said.
Blake Power, 10, was one of the participants at the event and the Courier had a chat with her as she was kicking a football to a friend.
She said the program was fun and added that the best part was the socialising.
“Seeing my friend,” she said.
