Andy takes Sunday’s win

Andy Davis won the day on Sunday, and had a podium finish on Wednesday.

After a very chilly Saturday, Sunday afternoon turned out to be a very pleasant afternoon for croquet.

Eleven players enjoyed the game.

Three game winners included Andy Davis, who placed first on countback from fellow three game winner Peter Whittakers in second.

Both also got one jump shot each.

There were no two game winners.

On Wednesday, 16 keen players arrived to enjoy an afternoon of croquet.

Three game winners were Brian Dudley who placed first, Rex Kernich in second and Andy Davis in third.

Two game winners were Brad Fawns, Peter Whittakers and Graeme Bradford.

Single jump shots were achieved by Andy Davis, Allan Tonta and Brian Dudley, and Ray Moye had a hoop-in-one.

Also congratulations to Fred Littmann who won all three of his games and the day playing Kingball at Rich River Croquet Club on July 16.

Kingball is a mixture of association and golf croquet, and great for helping to improve your game in both games.

Croquet is becoming more and more popular locally.

New players and spectators are welcome to come along and watch, or to learn about the game.

Play is held on Sundays and Wednesdays, from 1pm to 4pm.
