Here’s all you need to know about Anzac Day services across the Goulburn Valley

Shepparton

Dawn service

5.45am: assemble at the Victoria Hotel, on the corner of Wyndham and Fryers Sts, Shepparton.

5.50am: form up and march departs.

6am: dawn service at Memorial Park.

6.30am: conclusion of service.

Commemorative service

10.20am: congregate in the Shepparton RSL car park. Bus for those unable to march departs RSL at 10.20am.

10.40am: march departs RSL for Memorial Park directly along Welsford St, Shepparton (new route).

11am: service commences.

11.45am: conclusion of service.

Although seating will be provided for veterans, people are asked to bring their own chairs.

The club will be open from 6am. A light lunch will be available in the Lone Pine function room at a cost of $5 a person. All proceeds to support Goulburn Valley Veteran Services.

Shepparton RSL

Digger’s Bistro will be open for lunch and dinner. Two-up starts at 1pm in the car park of the RSL.

Aquaclub at LifeStyle Shepparton on Channel Rd

11am: service at the clubhouse.

11.40am: march at the Aquaclub back to the clubhouse.

Noon: Lunch at the clubhouse.

Mooroopna

8.30am: congregate in front of water tower.

8.45am: march to Memorial Park.

9am: service commences.

9.30am: conclusion of service.

Murchison

5.40am: Murchison RSL Sub-branch is holding an Anzac Day dawn service at the Murchison War Memorial, Riverside Gardens, Stevenson St, Murchison.

Tallygaroopna

11.30am: wreath-laying ceremony at Tallygaroopna Soldiers Memorial hall. This will be followed by a barbecue lunch, provided by the Lions Club. Donations to cover costs appreciated.

Nathalia/Picola

5.45am: Assemble at the cenotaph (Blake St bridge, Nathalia) for 6am start. Wreath laying and commemorative service is expected to last around 30 minutes followed by a community breakfast hosted by Nathalia Lions.

9.15am: Anzac commemorative service and march assembly at the Barmah Hotel, stepping off at 9.30am for the war memorial at Terry Tinkler Park, Murray St.

10am: commemorative service, which includes a guest speaker, wreath laying and raising of the flag. Morning tea will be available after the service. There will be no afternoon march or service in Nathalia.

Those who wish to attend the march and service at Barmah and do not wish to use their own vehicles, free buses will leave from the Nathalia V/line bus stop at 8.30am and travel via Picola silos for any pick-ups at 8.45am.

Buses will depart Barmah about 11.30am and will return passengers to Nathalia via Picola about noon.

Tatura

5.45am: dawn service at Mactier memorial garden, Tatura.

10.15am: assemble at Tatura civic hall for march.

10.45am: march to Mactier memorial garden for service.

11am: service starts.

Merrigum

10.30am: service at Merrigum hall, 98 Morrissey St, Merrigum. BYO wreath.

Dookie

10.45am: service at Dookie memorial. Vietnam war veteran David Schier is master of ceremonies and former serviceman Chadd Baker of Murchison is guest speaker. Dookie Primary School students will play a key role and City of Greater Shepparton Cr Fern Summer will be in attendance. All are welcome. Elders of the community and those in need are advised that seating will be available this year.
