The APCO Foundation has donated $91,000 to Shepparton flood relief to assist families affected by the floods in the community around the APCO service station in Shepparton.

Through the APCO Foundation’s networking, 17 families received financial assistance to aid in the recovery from flood damage.

Foundation chair Sharon Gleeson believes the helping hand fulfils the APCO Foundation’s mission of spreading kindness and offering support quickly during times of crisis in one of its communities.

“The Shepparton floods have been devastating, and we were able to go in and help individuals and families at a time when there was a lot of loss and hardship,” she said.

“These families and individuals were trying to salvage what was left of their homes and their lives.”

Since 2013 the foundation has donated over $1 million back into the communities around its APCO stores located in Victoria and NSW.

The response in regard to Shepparton was no exception.

Shepparton APCO manager Lil Caine was thankful for the flood relief efforts by APCO Shepparton, supported by the APCO Foundation.

“As a Shepparton local it makes me proud to work for a company that supports our locals during such a devastating time,” she said.

“Personally, I would like to thank the APCO Foundation for such a generous donation to our Shepparton community.”
