A golden opportunity is knocking for local organizations.

State Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe is encouraging locals to seize the chance to apply for the Regional Tourism Investment Fund 2024.

“This is an exciting funding opportunity for our region to develop and enhance tourism infrastructure, increase investment, showcase our region and to boost the local economy,” she said.

The fund is a trove of grants offering anywhere from $100,000 to $5 million per project.

The focus is on tourism infrastructure projects in the heart of regional and rural Victoria, aligning perfectly with the Experience Victoria 2033 strategy, which shines a spotlight on arts and culture, food and drink, nature, wellness and First Peoples-led experiences.

The fund is divided into three streams, each tailored to different project scales:

  • Stream one: For small-scale projects, offering grants from $100,000 to $1 million.
  • Stream two: For large-scale projects, with grants ranging from $1,000,001 to $5 million.
  • Stream three: Accommodation uplift, providing grants from $500,000 to $2 million.

Applicants are invited to submit one application for either stream one, two or three.

Applications close at 2pm on Friday, July 19.
