The wait is almost over for Shepparton swimmers, with Aquamoves set to reopen its indoor pools next week after the floods closed the centre more than seven weeks ago.

All the indoor aquatic facilities — the 25m pool, leisure pool, hydro pool, cold spa and sauna — will reopen from 6am on Monday, December 12.

Swimming lessons and occasional childcare will also resume on the same day.

Aquamoves opened its doors to gym members on November 23, but it is not known when full gym access will again be available.

Currently, the gym is open Monday to Friday from 6am to 9pm, Saturdays from 7am to 5pm, and Sundays from 8.30am to 5pm.

A City of Greater Shepparton Council spokesperson, however, said they were “unable to provide any return dates” for the other facilities at Aquamoves yet.

These include the warm spa, outdoor leisure and splash park, and outdoor 50m pool.

Verve Cafe at the site also remains closed.

“Please be assured we are working hard behind the scenes to restore the remainder of our facilities and services as soon as possible,” the spokesperson said.

“We thank you again for your ongoing patience and understanding.”
