Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two men after a vehicle intercept in Echuca on Thursday, August 22.
It is alleged the two occupants were sitting in a vehicle outside a tobacconist at 240 Pakenham St about 4.30am.
Officers searched the vehicle and located a large amount of illicit tobacco and more than $20,000 in cash.
A 25-year-old Tarneit man and a 50-year-old Pakenham man were taken into custody.
Police remained at the scene throughout the day, with detectives on site around 4.30pm yesterday.
The investigation is ongoing.
