Phil Hickingbotham doesn’t usually paint with an audience, but over the past week, he has been engaging with the public on the foreshore of Lake Nagambie.

Phil, an artist from Shepparton, has been participating in Strathbogie Shire’s Artbox project, a mobile exhibition space popping up in different locations across the shire.

Before Christmas, Phil exhibited a number of his paintings in his Chromascape exhibition and opened up the ‘box’ several times while he splashed paint on canvas.

On Saturday, December 23, he painted Gooram Falls, one of Strathbogie’s natural landscapes.

His work will continue to be displayed until January 1, and the Artbox will remain at Nagambie until March.
