Awaken Dance Theatre Company has been bending and moving around the clock to bring its first double bill performance to light — Bloom and Automatic.

Originally presented as part of Shepparton Festival, Bloom has been reworked for the stage.

It explores the concept of rising up to ones full potential, using nature as a metaphor, contrasted by Automatic which touches on themes of chaos and repetitive monotony — of life in autopilot.

Awaken Dance Theatre Company founder and teacher Kyla McGregor said the group was excited to see it all come together after months of rehearsals.

“It’s more than just the dance, Awaken is big on creating an artistic experience and we’re big on our audience getting to come and feel something — to experience something,” she said.

“We want their hearts to move, for them to take something away from it.”

Thirty-two cast members, the youngest 11 and the oldest 20, are performing three times across the weekend.

Ms McGregor said the show was a great school holiday activity, with something for everyone.

“It’s about supporting grass-roots local talent, it’s great and important to support our youth and things that are happening here in this region,” she said.

“It is a truly beautiful performance.”

The show will take place at Riverlinks WestSide, Echuca Rd in Mooroopna, on Friday, July 1, at 7pm and with two performances on Saturday, July 2, at 3pm and 7pm.

Tickets for full entry are $35, concession $30 and children, $25m available for purchase via https://riverlinksvenues.com.au/whats-on/event-details/!/calendar/event/bloom-and-automatic
