Be a cop in your hometown

The NSW Police Force is making it easier for regional people to join the police while staying connected with your family, lifestyle and community.

Murray River Police District Detective Chief Inspector Jy Brown said the ‘You Should Be A Cop In Your Hometown’ program gives you confidence about where you’ll be working once you join.

That means you can live and work in your own community.

There are also great incentives available for police officers working in regional areas.

Police recruits are now paid, and are some of the highest-paid recruits in Australia.

Plus all your accommodation and meals at the Police Academy are covered.

Incentives are available to those who work in regional areas, and as a police officer, you could access up to 200 jobs in one career.
