As the holidays come to an end and school starts up again, locals are reminded of the road changes that come along with this.
School speed zones have been back in operation since Monday, July 15 and will be until holidays start up again on Monday, September 23.
This means the speed limit in school zones is 40km/h from 8am to 9:30am and 2:30pm to 4pm every weekday.
Motorists are expected to be more cautious when travelling around schools and bus stops, as there will be an increase in foot traffic.
Regardless of whether a school is open, all signposted 40km/h zones will still apply.
