The Benalla Bush Entertainment Muster will be held at Benalla Bowls Club from October 14 to 16.
The event will feature amazing bush poetry and some musical acts.
Greg Champion, of the Coodabeen Champions, is the headline act and the weekend will also feature:
- Katie Stroud — Country Singer;
- Geoffrey W Graham — Dinkum Oz Entertainment;
- David and Anne Bell — Australian singers, and;
- Jim Brown — Bush Poet.
The Muster starts at 7.30pm on Friday, October 16, with a Variety Concert.
Victoria Bush Poetry and Music Association secretary Jan Lewis said bush poets, singers and musicians would entertain as “Walk Ups” during breakfast sessions from 8.30am to 10am on the Saturday and Sunday.
“After two years of no musters due to Covid-19 we’ve engaged quality performers encouraging more Benalla and district people to attend; and previous attendees to return,” Ms Lewis said.
“There will be a great mix of entertainment during the day on Saturday, highlighted by Greg Champion performing between 3.15pm and 4pm.
“Greg returns again during the Saturday evening concert that commences at 7pm, along with Katie Stroud and all other featured performers.
“The ever-popular Anzac tribute at the ‘Weary’ Dunlop statue in the Rose Gardens will run from 4.20pm to 5.40pm Saturday.
“Performers will include Jim Brown reciting his famous poem The Anzac on the wall.”
