Progessive vote-count data is now available for all seven vacancies on Benalla Rural City Council.
As of Friday, November 1, 7230 votes had been counted. This equates to 62.11 per cent of the total voters in the Benalla Rural City LGA, with a total of 11,640 enrolled voters.
There were another 4410 votes (37.89 per cent) left to be counted.
There are seven spots up for grabs, with 15 people standing for council.
As it stood, Peter Davis was in the lead with 960 votes, equating to 13.28 per cent of the votes counted.
Behind him was Nathan Tolliday with 900 votes (12.45 per cent), and Justin King was closely following with 859 votes (11.88 per cent).
David Blore was on 650 votes (8.99 per cent), Bernie Hearn was on 587 (8.12 per cent), Puna Hewa Gunaratne was on 504 (6.97 per cent) and Vincent Branigan was on 405 votes (5.60 per cent).
Behind those candidates, Philip Hauptmann was on 393 votes (5.44 per cent), Jillian Merkel was on 387 votes (5.35 per cent), Gail O’Brien was on 377 (5.21 per cent), Suzie Pearce was on 318 (4.40 per cent) and Kevin Smith was on 275 (3.80 per cent).
Phillip Murphy was on 273 votes (3.78 per cent), Mark Jones was on 190 (2.63 per cent) and Annette Borradale was on 152 votes (2.10 per cent).
