On Tuesday evening, April 15, Benalla Highway Patrol officers were conducting routine patrols on Sydney Rd.
Their Automatic Number Plate Recognition system alerted them to a vehicle linked to a suspended driver.
Police intercepted the vehicle and spoke with the male driver, who admitted to driving while his licence was suspended.
His vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days, and he will be summonsed to appear in court.
A Benalla Police spokesperson said driving without a valid licence puts everyone at risk.
“Our patrols are active and technology-assisted — if you’re doing the wrong thing, we will find you,” the spokesperson said.
