Benalla marked Anzac Day on Tuesday, April 25, with the community coming together at dawn, and later in the morning for the traditional march and 11am service.
The Ensign spoke with Benalla RSL Sub-Branch president Paul Hartland prior to the march.
He said he was touched by how many attended the dawn service.
“Looking at today’s crowd it’s getting bigger each year since COVID lockdowns, and it’s nice to see so many young people involved,” Mr Hartland said.
The Ensign’s Simon Ruppert and Issie Hill documented the day with these photographs.
