John Holland has been selected to carry out construction on the Inland Rail project in Victoria.

Specialised contractors will conduct site surveys and investigation works at various spots in and around Benalla.

The activities will encompass surveying railway tracks, roads and pavement levels, examining drainage pits, mapping underground services and drilling boreholes for soil samples.

A temporary site compound will be set up again in the rail yard on Hannah St.

Work will take place from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Night works will occur between 7pm and 6am from November 25 to December 6 for drainage investigation and clean-out.

The temporary site compound will be in place from November 1 to December 22.

Traffic management measures and reduced speed limits of 40km/h will be put in place near work sites. Residents in the vicinity may experience some noise and increased construction activity in the area.
