Benalla Theatre Company’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone opens to rave reviews

Benalla Theatre Company has just come off a wonderful opening weekend of its production of The Drowsy Chaperone.

Audiences have laughed their way through the show enjoying the many different characters that wend their way through the musical.

Highlights have included Jamie Boatwood’s song I Am Aldolpho and Linda Simpson’s powerhouse voice in As We Stumble Along.

Not to mention amazing performances by Mary-Ann Jolly and Tim Hill whose portrayal of Mrs Tottendale and her butler have been outstanding.

Other stand-outs include Jacqui Creamer singing Show Off and a duet by Lochie McNair and Adam McCulloch who perform the big tap number Cold Feets.

The show’s great characters allow the whole cast to get involved in the fun, including the big production numbers Toledo Surprise and Bride’s Lament.
