Bendigo councillors elected

The successful candidates for the Greater Bendigo City Council elections have been declared by the Victorian Electoral Commission.

In the Axedale ward, Shivali Chatley was elected; Aaron Spong was successful in the Eppalock ward, Andrea Metcalf was elected unopposed in the Epsom ward; in the Golden Square ward, Karen Corr was successful; Abhishek Awasthi was elected in the Kennington ward; Thomas Prince was chosen for the Lake Weeroona ward; in the Lockwood ward, John McIlrath was elected; Damien Hurrell was elected in the Ravenswood ward and in the Whipstick ward, Owen Cosgriff was successful.

The result was declared by election manager Brenda Day on Monday, November 11 at 3pm at Bendigo Town Hall.

The first council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, set to be confirmed by council soon.
