Residents who interact with Berrigan Shire Council will be noticing a change.
As part of a rebranding exercise, council has redesigned its website to make it more user friendly.
Mayor Matthew Hannan said the change was necessary after hearing resident feedback.
“It was imperative to make the new website as user-friendly as possible, so navigating for essential services like paying rates and water notices, finding career opportunities, or checking for latest news can be completed with ease and simplicity,” he said.
“We are confident that the new site will better meet customer needs.”
Some key features of the new website include:
• easy-to-navigate drop-down menus;
• latest news section;
• upcoming event calendar; and
• increased accessibility for people with vision impairment and other disabilities.
It is hoped the new website design will improve customer experience and help council staff to resolve inquiries faster by giving accurate information on demand.
Cr Hannan said council would continue to develop the website and ensure it remained as relevant and up-to-date as possible.
“The website is ever-evolving, and council encourages everyone to take a look and tell us what you think,” he said.
