Berrigan well represented in Oz Day award categories

A wonderful morning was held last Thursday for the Berrigan Shire Australia Day Ceremony.

Congratulations to the Berrigan RSL Sub-branch for winning the Community Organisation Award.

Berrigan was well represented in most categories.

Congratulations to all who have been recognised for their community work in 2022.

The Country Women’s Association Ladies once again provided a lovely breakfast on Australia Day and wish to thank everyone who supported the morning.

The Decommissioning Mass of Saint Brendan's Catholic Church will take place at 11am on Sunday, March 12, presided over by Bishop Mark Edwards of Wagga Wagga Diocese.

A light luncheon will follow at Savernake School of Arts Hall.

All past and present parishioners, families and friends are cordially invited to attend.

The Berrigan War Memorial Swimming Pool is having a fundraiser.

It takes the form of a four week course of after hours swimming.

It started on Sunday and ends February 23. Swimming is each day from 6pm to 7pm.

You must be over 16 years to participate.

A four person ambrose golf event, sponsored by Berrigan IGA, will be hosted on Sunday March 19 with some great prizes up for grabs.

This has been a major fundraiser for the club.

Tee off will be at 10am.

A barbecue lunch will be provided as part of the registration fee, which is $25.
