There were 92 players involved in a golf day fundraiser for Deniliquin High School on Sunday.

Coordinated by the school’s P&C, the dedicated fundraisers played through in warm conditions to help the school purchase more items from the wish list to improve educational outcomes.

Players could take advantage of the barbecue at any stage of the day, and a drinks cart operated by Wally and Shannon Bulmer - from a golf cart offered for use by Purtill Group - kept everyone refreshed as they made their way around the Deniliquin Golf Club course.

A spectacle on the day was the golf ball drop.

The committee sold 306 balls, which were let go from a great height. With his ball landing closest to the pin, Robert Matthews claimed the $1000 prize.
