Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell was in Cobram on Tuesday, August 15 to listen to residents’ concerns as part of his Sam on the Street listening post tour.

Mr Birrell met with residents at Federation Park and said issues surrounding roads, the cost of living and initiatives to help ensure local businesses remained viable were top of his agenda.

“It’s important for me to keep up to date with what matters to people across our electorate,” Mr Birrell said.

“I want to thank people for taking the time to meet with me.”

The Nationals MP was keen to emphasis that he welcomed any opportunity to learn about concerns that residents had and that there would be future listening posts that people could attend.

“I’m keen to meet with as many people from around the region as possible,” he said.

“In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office if you require help with Federal Government matters.”
