Birthday celebration for Toc Can Assist

Members of Tocumwal Can Assist celebrating their fifth birthday.

Congratulations to the Tocumwal branch of Can Assist who recently celebrated a birthday and have now been established for five years.

In that time, they have raised an incredible about of funds to help many local families on their journeys with cancer.

To celebrate this milestone, a group of Can Assist members recently hired a bus to take them to the Oriental Pearl Chinese Restaurant at ClubMulwala (RSL) for lunch.

And while this time the event was purely a social one - and members paid for themselves - it goes to show that by joining Can Assist you not only help a worthy cause, but you can also make great friendships along the way.

If you are interested in joining Can Assist Tocumwal, get in touch via email to tocumwal@canassist.org.au or by calling 0467 926 557.

Would you like to support your local community by becoming a 'Friend of Rotary'?

If you have family or work commitments and struggle to find time to attend meetings, but still enjoy meeting new people and being involved in the community, then perhaps becoming a 'Friend of Rotary' is the answer.

Members of the public who have a passion and interest in helping others can become a ‘friend’ and, by sharing in the work of Rotary Club of Tocumwal Inc, they can support their local community.

'Friends' will be kept informed of the club activities via email, and will be invited to various events - both volunteer events and social - to meet others and make new friends.

For more information on this initiative, get in touch with Rotary via email to tocumwalrotary@gmail.com or by calling 0448 349 714.
