Looking for a unique family adventure this Easter long weekend?
Do you like tractors, trains and restored farm machinery.
Then you're in for a treat with the Goulburn Valley Vintage Tractor and Farm Machinery Club's 39th Annual Vintage Rally and Tractor Pull.
Held at the Wunghnu Recreation Reserve in Wunghnu on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31, the free event will feature a variety of events for the whole family to enjoy.
Attendees can enjoy tractor pulls, twilight tractor pulls, and train rides courtesy of the Moira Miniature Rail and working exhibits with machinery from a bygone era.
There will be onsite catering for those feeling peckish, and for those especially interested in what the organisation has on display, there will be free camping.
On Sunday, March 31, Easter Sunday, there will be a picnic and car display.
Event organiser Lloyd Healey hopes the event will draw in attendees, whose numbers have dropped since lockdown.
“Normally, we have five to six hundred people attend, but we have struggled to get going again since Covid,” he said.
Mr Healey said the event is perfect for those interested in seeing what life was like in bygone years and for those seeking something fun to do over Easter that won't break the budget.
“It’s a great family day out, and you get to experience the thrill of what old tractors could do in the 50’s and 60’s,” Mr Healey said.
“Many kids these days don’t get to see or understand how old tractors function.”
