Exciting news for book lovers as a bestselling Australian author makes her way to two local libraries.
Léonie Kelsall, author of The Farm at Peppertree Crossing, The Wattle Seed Inn, The Blue Gum Camp and more, will visit Cobram and Tatura libraries to talk about her latest book, The Homestead in the Eucalypts.
Kelsall will be at Tatura Library on Tuesday, July 9, at 2pm and the Cobram Library on Wednesday, July 10, at 11am, where you can buy a signed copy of her new book.
The Homestead in the Eucalypts focuses on a student doctor, Taylor Lawrence, who seeks sanctuary on her grandparents’ farm in South Australia when her city life turns upside down.
During the night, Taylor fantasises of a time long ago: of Anna, who is caught in a bushfire, and of Anna’s rescuer, Luke Hartmann.
Reality begins to blur, and she realises she must discover whether her dreams are fantasy or of a story closer to heart than she could ever imagine.
Kelsall is a country girl at heart, having grown up in a tiny town in South Australia and then a wheat and sheep farm at Pallamana.
She grew up without a television, so her love for reading blossomed quickly, soon followed by a love of writing.
A registered wildlife rescuer and carer, she now divides her time between the lush Adelaide Hills, the location of her professional counselling practice, and the stark, arid beauty of the family farm at Pallamana.
