Shepparton will host a number of cycling events during the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Securing involvement in the Victoria 2026 regional games has been high on the priority list of many in the Greater Shepparton region for the past six months, and today’s announcement confirmed more details of what is to be expected.

Speaking at the Shepparton Art Museum, members of the Victorian Government including Minister for Commonwealth Games Delivery Jacinta Allan announced the full suite of sports which will take place in 2026, including that the men’s and women’s time trials for the road race and BMX Racing will be staged in Shepparton.

Shepparton will also welcome a major festival alongside the sport program, an exciting array of events, experiences and exhibitions will tap into the region’s vibrant cultural scene, making the most of live theatre, craft and galleries – including the world-class SAM.

Golf, 3x3 Basketball, 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball, Coastal Rowing, Shooting, Shooting Para Sport, Mountain Bike Cross Country, Track Cycling and Para Cycling Track have been added to the sports line-up, while Coastal Rowing, Golf, and BMX will make Commonwealth Games debuts.
