A unique concert event is coming soon that is all ages, all-inclusive and all taking place at the Shepparton Showgrounds.

Presented by Bad Apples Music, founded by Yorta Yorta man Briggs and the Dungala Kaiela Foundation, Now & Forever is an artist and First Nations-led initiative set to take place on Friday, October 6.

The event invites all to celebrate, stand in solidarity with the First Nations community, and amplify the push for a ‘Yes’ vote in the national Voice to Parliament referendum.

Not only will Briggs be performing, but he’s also bringing some friends.

An epic line-up of supreme Australian talent has been announced, including A.B. Original, Baker Boy, Barkaa, Emma Donovan, Hilltop Hoods, Jimmy Barnes, Mo’Ju and Paul Kelly.

Artists will perform across one main stage, with special guest appearances and collaborations throughout the day.

Australian comedian and radio presenter Sam Pang will also co-host the event.

Despite the performers sharing a different hometown address than Briggs, all involved understand the dizzying significance an event like this has to a regional area.

“I had to bring this home because this is where I grew up,” Briggs said.

“We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to write our future together and the artists on the bill have signed up for that.

“This is about celebration, inclusivity, solidarity, positivity and listening, as much as it is about a Voice.”

In keeping with these themes, Australian live music industry Leaders — Frontier Touring, Live Nation Australia, Live Performance Australia, and TEG Live — have collaborated to make this event possible.

“I’ve never seen this within any industry — the biggest (organisations) coming together to make something happen,” Briggs said.

All proceeds will be donated to not-for-profits and charities doing good work for the region and across Australia.

“It’s a criminally low ticket price,” Briggs said.

“I want to make this accessible for everyone and be able to give back to local and national charities doing good work.

“I can confirm Dungala Kaiela Foundation, who does good work within the Goulburn Valley, is 100 per cent locked in, others we’re still getting confirmation.”

Looking beyond the region and ahead to the big picture, Briggs reinforced that despite the event’s strong ‘Yes’ support, Now & Forever would be all-inclusive.

“Everyone is welcome to the show — even the undecided voters. And if you don’t know, just come to the show,” Briggs said.

Now & Forever is on Friday, October 6 at the Shepparton Showgrounds, Yorta Yorta Woka. Gates open at 2pm, and music starts at 3pm.

Tickets to the all-ages event are $21.50, with free entry for those under 12.

Tickets go on sale at 9am, Friday, September 22, via Ticketmaster.
