Burglaries on the rise across region

There has been a number of residential and commercial burglaries over the past weeks throughout Wallan, Kilmore and Seymour.

Computer hardware, a 100-inch (254cm) television and beer were stolen from a pub on Sydney St, Kilmore, on Friday, September 2.

Offenders forced entry through a window about 6.30pm.

Mitchell Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating.

Keys stolen from car

A set of house keys and a garage fob have been stolen from a car parked in a garage on Rialto Close, Wallan.

The car’s owner heard the garage door opening and closing several times about 12.45am on Friday, September 2. The owner went to the garage and noticed the vehicle had been rummaged through and the keys and fob had been stolen.

Damage at storage unit

Several fences and storage locks have been damaged at a storage facility in Nagambie.

The incident at a self-storage unit on Vickers Rd happened about 3.15am on Friday, August 19.

Trailer taken

A black single axle trailer with a cage was stolen from a house on Walnut Grove, Kilmore.

The train securing the trailer was cut and the trailer taken between July 13 and August 31.

Number plates removed

The front and rear number plates and the left rear tail light have been stolen from a parked car in Wallan.

The victim had parked and secured his car on Commercial Dve at 4.30pm on Sunday, August 28.

The rear registration plates have also been stolen from two vehicles in a compound on Hume and Hovell Rd, Seymour, between 5pm on Monday, August 29, and 8.30am on Tuesday, August 30.

Thief takes off in Holden

A red Holden Captiva was stolen from a pub car park in Mangalore last week.

The theft happened about 3.35am on Monday, August 29.
