Business and facility closures around Shepparton

Closure updates: The view from the Goulburn River on the suspension bridge behind Aquamoves.

Some businesses and facilities around Shepparton have begun to close as the community prepares for the flooding peak to reach Shepparton.

Victoria Park Lake Caravan Park

Victoria Park Lake Caravan Park have announced that as of Thursday, January 11, it will be closed until further notice.

Botanical Gardens

Botanical Gardens has closed as of Thursday, January 11 until further notice. This comes after the shared paths between Botanical Gardens Av in Kialla closed on January 10.

KidsTown

KidsTown has announced that as of 5pm on Wednesday, January 10, it will close until further notice due to the flood emergency.

Aquamoves

Aquamoves announced it will close as of 8pm on Wednesday, January 10, until further notice. This includes after-hours gym access.

The outdoor 50m pool will also close as of noon.

Aquamoves said that a suspension would be processed on all memberships upon reopening to ensure the correct amount of time was reimbursed to its members.

Mooroopna pool will operate under extended hours from 6.30am on Thursday, January 11, until Sunday, January 14, with some Aquamoves bookings being moved to the Mooroopna pool.

Walking tracks

There are also a number of walking paths that have been closed due to flooding.

In Shepparton, the shared path along the Causeway between Shepparton and Mooroopna has closed due to flooding, and so has the path behind the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club.

In Kialla, the shared path at Botanical Gardens Av is closed and is also closed off at Lincoln Dr in Shepparton.

Parks and Reserves

Parks Victoria has indicated all parks are now closed, including Arcadia Streamside Reserve, Shepparton Regional Park, Lower Goulburn National Park, Gemmill Swamp Wildlife Reserve, Loch Garry Wildlife Reserve and Kanyapella Reserve.
