C-grade aims for top of ladder finish

Not even the love of St Valentine’s Day could get the Coleambally C-grade team over the line against a very strong Exies team last Friday night in Griffith.

Batting first, Coly slumped to 6/20 before some late order resistance from Alex Pound (25) gave the team a total of 51.

Exies passed the score three down, and the players got to take their parents out to tea for the night.

Shaun Iddles continued his stellar form in B-grade, claiming 5/12 as the Coleambally Nomads rolled Leagues for 75.

In return, the wise old fox of Luke Roberts made a strong 31 to get over the line seven wickets down.

Both teams will play their last regular round game this weekend, with B-grade looking to secure top spot and C-grade needing to win to have a chance of playing finals.
