Call out black spots and potholes

The Federal Government is encouraging residents to dob in their roads for funding under the Black Spot Program, which aims to reduce serious injuries and deaths on Australia’s roads.

The program is allocated $110 million each year by the government for safety measures like traffic signals and roundabouts at locations where serious crashes have occurred or are at risk of occurring.

Any level of government, community groups, associations or individuals can nominate a road.

Nominations are considered by consultative panels in each jurisdiction, who recommend projects for approval to the relevant federal minister.

To apply for Black Spot funding, fill in a form and submit it to your local state or territory Consultative Panel for consideration.
