Car totalled near Mooroopna substation

A Mooroopna man escaped serious injury after his car struck a tree on Echuca Rd on Tuesday, February 7.

The incident happened near the power substation, not far from the intersection with Gange St.

When the News attended the site on Wednesday, a man who said he was the driver of the car said he had sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The man, who is from Mooroopna and did not want to be named, said he lost control of his blue Holden Commodore on Echuca Rd.

He said he suffered an epileptic fit behind the wheel, which he said caused the incident.

The man said both airbags inflated and he had no serious injuries, but his left arm was bandaged and he had bruising up his right forearm.

There were no passengers or other cars involved in the accident.

The car was written off and was removed on Wednesday, February 8.
