Rochester Historical and Pioneer Society members hosted the club on Friday, March 14, showing them around their displays and treating them to a morning tea.

The group has visited the region before, happy to support local businesses and organisations in Rochester.

Club member Liz Beekmans enjoyed dropping into the historical society, happy to snap a photo with the cow.

“I think it’s wonderful,” she said.

“I got a photo with the cow, I loved it. My parents owned dairy cows.”

For caravanner Geoff Wild it was a family affair, paying a visit to his cousin, Rochy’s own Merv Wild.

Rochester Historical and Pioneer Society hosts visitors from near and far, expecting coach tours in coming weeks.
