Carols aren't very far away

Get your singing voice ready for the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn’s 49th annual Carols by Candlelight.

Organised by the Lions and assisted by Mitchell Shire Concert Band and Seymour Performers Workshop, the event is on December 1 at the Goulburn Park Sound Shell in Guild St, Seymour.

It will be a family-oriented night starting with a barbecue and drinks from 6pm, with Santa usually arriving around 7pm and the concert starting at 7.30.

There will also be a raffle and entertainment from Seymour College, St Mary's College and Puckapunyal Primary School choirs along with other groups and individuals.

Bring your picnic rugs and chairs to enjoy a fantastic community night.

Admission is free, but organisers ask for a donation of $3 for the souvenir program and candle. A safe flame bracelet can also be purchased for $1.

All proceeds from the candles go to Nexus Primary Health.

No alcohol is permitted at the event.

If there is inclement weather, the event will be held at the St Mary's Hall in McIntyre St.
