The Rose City’s popular Carols by Candlelight event hosted by the Benalla Lions Club returns to the Botanical Gardens on Sunday, December 17, from 7pm.
Lions president Peter Poels said the club had been organising the event since 1962.
“Father Vijay from the Catholic church will do a blessing. The Rose City band will be there, as will Benalla Theatre Company to help with the singing,” he said.
“Santa will arrive on the SES truck, and the kids can line up and have their photo taken and will get a bag of lollies.”
Benalla Town Hall has been booked as a back-up in case of rain.
