Shepparton’s Queen’s Gardens is set to transform into a festive wonderland for the annual Carols by Candlelight.

Leading up to Christmas, Greater Shepparton will celebrate its 49th annual Carols by Candlelight, complete with live music, festive decorations, and delicious food.

Local community groups, vendors and businesses will attend the event, with food and drink available for purchase.

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali encourages community members to join the family-friendly festivity.

“Carols by Candlelight is the perfect opportunity to come together and enjoy a great evening with family and friends,” he said.

“Council is proud to continue to support this wonderful tradition.”

The program runs from 6.30pm to 9pm on Sunday, December 17, and features some talented local performers alongside special guests, Santa Claus and his elves.

Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic rugs, chairs or cushions, and mosquito repellent and are reminded this is an alcohol-free event.

For those unable to attend the event in person, a live stream of the carols will be broadcast on the council’s website, greatershepparton.com.au or on their YouTube channel, youtube.com/@GreaterShepparton

Entry to the carols is free.
