Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to promote greater awareness of refugees, the issues they face and the contributions refugees make to the Australian community.
This year, Refugee Week will run from Sunday, June 16, to Saturday, June 22, with celebrations at libraries across the Goulburn Valley.
The week-long celebrations aim to improve understanding between different communities and encourage successful integration, enabling refugees to live safely and continue making valuable contributions to Australia.
There will be four free activities to be provided by Greater Shepparton City Council and GV Libraries to celebrate Refugee Week.
