It might still be five months until the next Edward Kolety Fishing Challenge rolls around, but the hype is already ramping up.

Registrations for the February event opened this month, and tickets for its amazing raffle are on sale as of this week.

The raffle prizes, again donated by Deniliquin Yamaha, have a combined value of more than $15,000.

First prize is a $13,850 AnglaPro 354 boat with Yamaha 15Hp electric start motor on trailer with safety pack.

Second is a Yamaha YFZ50 49cc kids’ automatic quad bike, valued at $3,950.

Each registered challenge participant gets one raffle ticket as part of their entrance fee, and additional tickets are available for $5 each.

Tickets can be purchased on the Edward Kolety Fishing Challenge website, or from Deniliquin Party Hire, Northside Car Solutions, Deni Outdoors and Camping, Premix King Deniliquin, Middy’s Electrical and Deni Autoglass.

The Edward Kolety Fishing Challenge will be held February 7 to 9, with Deniliquin’s Memorial Park acting as event HQ.

There is a junior and an open fishing competition section, with plenty of other great prizes to be won by anglers.

Entry prices cover your weekend of fishing, and most of your meals for the three-day event.

There will be dinner on the Friday and Saturday, breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday as well as a light lunch on the Sunday.

There are a number of different registration packages to choose from, including single adult and junior entries.

There’s also a business/family sponsor package for four adults, major category sponsor package for two entrants and single or double adopt-a-cod sponsorship packages.

The adopt-a-cod package contributed to the release of Murray cod into local waterways after the event.

Proceeds from other ticket sales also go into re-stocking the river with native fish.

Registrations and raffle tickets are available by clicking on the ‘book now’ tab at edwardfishingchallenge.com.au.
