Charges laid after Cobram woman’s death

Detectives from Cobram Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man as part of the investigation into the death of a woman in Cobram.

Emergency services were called to a house on Campbell Rd about 2.15pm on Tuesday, April 23 and found the body of a 49-year-old Cobram woman inside the property.

A 39-year-old Cobram man has been charged with intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, common law assault, aggravated assault of a female and unlawful assault.

He is expected to face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 26.

Police will allege the parties involved were known to each other.

Detectives from Cobram CIU are continuing to work to establish the exact circumstances in relation to the woman’s death.
