Charges laid over alleged hit-and-run in Shepparton

A teen who only got her licence that day has been charged over an alleged hit-and-run in Shepparton on Friday, June 9.

A 22-year-old Shepparton woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a vehicle on Packham St about 11.15pm.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after being pinned between two vehicles.

Police allege the driver fled the scene.

Investigators attended a Mooroopna address several hours later where they arrested an 18-year-old woman.

She was charged with negligently cause serious injury, recklessly cause serious injury and other traffic-related offences and bailed to Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on September 11.
