Chocolate Starfish frontman and Greater Shepparton native Adam Thompson is bringing the band’s Best of Everything’ tour to his home region.

On June 21, the band will begin touring the country, with 24 shows in five states over four months.

“We’re doing some big shows in grand venues like the State Theatre in Sydney, and will also do some smaller regional shows that will have a more intimate vibe and include places close to our hearts, like my home region of Shepparton,” Thompson said.

“Thirty years in, we know where our fans are, and the spaces we love to work.

“We can’t wait to hit the road.”

The performance will feature hits from Chocolate Starfish’s self-titled debut album and favourites from Box, Spider, Primitive and The Beautiful Addiction, along with stand-out selections from the band’s classic album series — Bat Out of Hell, INXS’ Kick and Adam Thompson’s Bohemian Rhapsody Concert.

Thompson said it felt like the past 30 years had been the band just warming up.

He said it was exciting to try to win over the next generation, feeling like the band was gaining new and younger fans at every performance.

“Our audience is the centrepiece of the Starfish experience,” Thompson said.

“We perform with them, not for them.

“They deserve the best of everything, so that’s what we will give them.

“This truly is the best of everything we have to offer.

“For now.”

Thompson will turn 60 before the tour, marking half his life spent as the frontman of the iconic Australian rock and roll band, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Thompson will bring the tour to Shepparton on Friday, July 26, at Riverlinks Eastbank, Shepparton.
