After having to postpone the fete, due to the storm that hit the region on March 23, the school was worried about the event going ahead; however, the kindness of the community came through.
“We had community members volunteer, just to help us clean up,” college communications and marketing manager Kristen Doherty said.
“The ground staff were also amazing.”
Their had work paid off, with donations reaching almost $7700, beating last year’s number.
“It was amazing — a huge success,” Mrs Doherty said.
“There were too many highlights to list.”
The school was grateful for support received not only on the date, but also the past two weeks.
“We want to thank the community for supporting our annual fete,” Mrs Doherty said.
“We can’t wait to donate our funds to the mission programs locally, nationally and internationally.”
