The Deniliquin Community Hub is trying to do its bit for families and individuals struggling over the festive season.

The hub will be holding a toy drive in the hope of being able to support these families doing it a little hard this Christmas.

The hub is looking for toys for children aged 1-12, which can be dropped off at 8/52 Hardinge St, Deniliquin.

The hub opens on a Sunday, from 10am through to 12pm.

More ways to give

Also coming up is the annual Marc Kingston Memorial Toy Run.

It is run by the Ulyssess Club with support from the Deniliquin Salvation Army and the Deniliquin Antique Vehicle Club.

It will be held in the Deniliquin CBD from 8am on Saturday, December 7.

Come along and leave new or like-new toys to be distributed to local families.

Hang around to see the display of cars and motorbikes. There may even be a barbecue and some entertainment.

The toy run is named in honour of Marc Kingston, who coordinated the local toy run as a member of the Deniliquin Motorcycle Riders Association from 1984 until his passing in 1994.
