Benalla Rural City was visited by 300 classic trucks when Crawling the Hume returned on Saturday, April 6.
The convoy rumble through the district, taking the route of the old Hume Hwy.
Locally, there were three great places to take a look.
Benalla’s Peta and Hans Jensen have now taken part several times.
Speaking prior to the event she said the trucks all turn off the Hume Fwy at Baddaginnie.
“They go through the gears as they go past, so they’re loud, and everyone comes out to take a look,” Ms Jensen said.
“Then the route takes the trucks through the middle of Benalla, where people are also encouraged to come out and wave.
“But the best place to see them will be when we stop for lunch and park up at Winton.”
The trucks began to pass through the Rose City from about 10.30am with a steady stream for the next three and a half hours.
They then parked up at Winton Motor Raceway where locals were encouraged to take a look and chat with the drivers.
The Jensens were in their 1962 AB180 International, which has been lovingly restored.
“She’s got a 361 V8 Dodge motor in her,” Ms Jensen said.
“She moves pretty well for her age.”
After lunch, the convoy set out to its final destination, Albury, where drivers enjoyed a dinner together before heading home to plan for the next Crawling the Hume.
