Federation Park in Cobram will come alive once again for the Cobram Lions Club Christmas Twilight Market on Friday, December 15.

The market, which begins at 4pm and ends at dusk, is an annual event for the Lions club and the 2023 event is set to take the occasion to even greater heights.

Cobram Lions Club president Janet Austin said the event would have about 100 stallholders taking part, with the vast majority being from the immediate area.

Stall items will include arts and crafts, local produce, kids’ toys, garden items and much more.

Ms Austin said food would also be a big draw card, with food vans serving delicious food that is not readily available in Cobram.

Music will also be playing throughout the event, providing the perfect opportunity for dance enthusiasts to show off their moves.

Kids will be well catered to with face painting, hair braiding, fidget toys plus a visit from Santa Claus.

“We have Santa coming over at 7pm,” Ms Austin said.

Straight after Santa’s visit, the Lions club will be drawing its hotly anticipated Christmas raffle.

“Over 60 of our local businesses have supported us this year,” Ms Austin said.

“The total prize pool has now exceeded $6500 and prizes are still coming in.”

Ms Austin said anyone considering coming along should do so and the market is a perfect opportunity to relax, have fun and purchase that perfect Christmas gift.

“It’s a brilliant night,” she said,

“You can picnic in the park. There’s plenty of lawn you can sit down on. Enjoy the food and enjoy the shopping ... There’s music, so if you want to dance, you can.”

Ms Austin said the raffle and the market would not be possible without the generous support of the community.

“We’d like to thank the businesses that have got behind the twilight market and the raffle,” Ms Austin said.

“Without the public support, we couldn’t do what we have been doing in Cobram.”
